The Progress team consists of ten members. This includes the following four senior project leaders:
Axel Lieber: Financial Services and Professional Services; General Commerce and Industry
Axel brings over ten years of experience in executive search in Japan to his clients. Some high profile recruitments Axel has completed include the CEO of a consumer bank, CIO for a life insurance company, and several Partners with a management consulting firm, in addition to many dozen placements below C-level. Axel has studied at the University of Bonn (Germany), and Keio University and is fluent in English, Japanese and German.
Jason Hatchell: General Commerce & Industry, Information Technology, Professional Services
Jason has been in Japan for over fourteen years, and has worked amongst others as a sales man for a domestic nutraceuticals company. A graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, Jason is fluent in English and Japanese. In his ten years of executive search, he has filled many senior level positions within information technology and services, consulting, heavy manufacturing and logistics companies.
Chris Doten: Human Resources and Professional Services
Chris has lived and worked in Japan for fourteen years, mostly in corporate domestic sales, amongst others for an Italian manufacturer of capital goods. Placements include various heads of HR and senior consultants, up to Partner level. He has studied at Taiwan National University, and is fluent in English, Japanese and Mandarin Chinese.
Nigel Young: Actuarial Space
Nigel, a long-term resident of Japan with five years’ experience in executive search with Progress, is our expert for recruitments in the actuarial space. Through the years, Nigel has placed numerous actuaries, across various functions and levels of seniority, and across the Asia-Pacific space. These included the heads of various practices with actuarial consulting firms, a product development director for a (life) reinsurance company and a head of personal lines product development with a non-life insurance company.
